Engaged colleagues making a difference
It is our conviction that we make the world a better place – a little bit each day. This approach is guiding the way we work with CSR. We channel our desire to do good through the active engagement among our employees. We do this by dedicating 2000 hours of social sustainability each year.
These hours let our colleagues engage personally in charity and social contributions in our local communities or context. By carrying out different activities, primarily linked to skills based volunteering, we are staying true to our company culture – being people who put people first.
All of Semcon’s sites around the globe have an appointed CSR-representative responsible for coordinating the work. All activities connects to one or several of the 17 Global Sustainability Goals set by the UN (UNSDG).
SOS Children’s Villages Friendship Company
Semcon is supporting and actively working with SOS Children’s Villages as a Friendship Company. Every year we launch a Christmas campaign where employees collect money for SOS Children Villages, and Semcon is then committed to donate the same sum as was collected.
Additionally, instead of giving employees and business partners gifts for Christmas, we choose to give support to a charity organisation. Over the recent years, the chosen organisation has been SOS Children’s Villages.
Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct involves all employees acting with social responsibility and within the framework of international law in all countries where the Group is represented. Our Code of Conduct is based on the ten global UN Global Compact Principles.
