Erik Engström has recently joined Goodpoint as the Area Manager for the business area Climate-Smart Operations (Klimatsmart verksamhet). He also contributes in executing projects for customers.

"In my role as Business Area Manager, I will coordinate work within the climate sector, develop services, monitor profitability, stay updated on industry developments, and ensure that we have the necessary expertise to meet our customers’ needs," says Erik Engström.

Challenges in both private and public sectors

To broaden the perspectives and take a holistic approach to how we can collectively create a sustainable society. That is one of the biggest sustainability challenges for both the private and public sectors in the years to come.

"We need to achieve sustainability in environmental, climate, economic, and social aspects in a fair and equitable manner. Additionally, we need to identify the synergies that exist between these areas and make wise trade-offs where goal conflicts arise," Erik explains.

Helping Companies Set Climate Goals

Johanna Nordström is also new to Goodpoint, coming most recently from a role as sustainability manager in real estate. Johanna will primarily focus on the Climate-Smart Operations business area.

"In my role as a sustainability consultant, my focus will be on various climate-related issues, such as climate calculations, assessments, and analyses. The goal is to help companies setclimate targets, break them down into concrete, time-bound actions, and work towards achieving them," says Johanna Nordström.

What do you think are the biggest sustainability challenges in the coming years for both the private and public sectors?

"The climate issue and biodiversity. We need to rethink and innovate to tackle these challenges, and they must be addressed together to avoid improving one at the expense of the other. I have extensive experience in setting ambitious goals, breaking them down into clear plans, and following up on them continuously. I am very eager to help more people with this."
