My story at Semcon began on September 2, 2019. I had the opportunity to participate in the e-delivery (electric vehicle) project in the wiring harnesses area. This project was challenging because it was a new and innovative project for the company and the Brazilian market as well. The goal was delivering the first 100% electric truck in Brazil in versions 11 and 14 tons. The synergy of our teamwork was very important to the delivery of this project with excellence, all within the estimated time.

Despite of 8 years of experience in wiring harnesses, I had not worked with electric vehicles yet. Being part of this project helped me grow and improve my knowledge.

Before Semcon I worked at some other companies. My first job was for a multinational company where I stayed for eight years working in harness. This company develops and manufactures harnesses for Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi cars. I have joined them as a Quality Inspector and over the years I was assigned to new positions. My main activities were development of wiring harness for new projects, read technical drawing, products and process audit, technical documentation of assembly, release of assembly and electrical test panels for production, certifications internal auditor, inspectors and auditors management.

In my last year of college, I felt it was time to change, so I decided to take a risk and try working in the food industry. My main responsibilities there were quality and document management, product and process control and also in certification audits. But, my passion for the automotive area made me interested in working at Semcon.

My contributions to Semcon are mainly within conceptualization, development, analysis and defining the electric harness assembly. In addition, I help define our work instructions for the end of the assembly line and manufacturing support. Lastly, I am responsible for all of the low voltage harnesses, ranging from its development to its release.

Looking back and seeing all of my professional and personal growth makes me feel extremely proud to be a part of this team. I am so grateful to Semcon for being a company which develops people and enables the opportunity to contribute to the sustainability and future of our industry.
