Diagnostic Methods and Fault Tracing.

As the electrical content and complexity of products increases, the demand for how to solve electrical faults are continuously increasing. Consequently, the need of providing service technicians with the right diagnostic tools and information is crucial. These are our core skills!

Within the area, we provide expertise within three main areas:

  • Diagnostic strategies & requirements. We develop strategies and requirements on how to implement and use diagnostics within the products, providing the right prerequisites for efficient service and aftermarket solutions.
  • Guided Trouble Shooting. Our customers continuously seek solutions that reduce repair costs and support their service technicians in finding electrical faults in an efficient way. Based on symptom or fault codes, we develop Guided Trouble Shooting procedures. These procedures guides, through clear step-by-step instructions, the service technicians to finding the right action to identify electrical faults. We do this by either using our customers’ authoring system or our own Component Content Management System (CCMS), Kentucky.
  • Service Schematics. Service schematics is a simplified engineering drawing of a product’s or equipment’s electrical system based on function – all gathered on one page! This gives the service technician a quick way to locate and solve the faults. We also add features to the service schematics, such as interactive mouse over with linkage possibilities and colored wires.
